Estates
A patient's final illness can be an expensive episode lasting weeks, and sometimes months. Many patients have not made the necessary arrangements to ensure adequate insurance coverage for their final illness. Other patients have incurred expensive procedures that have exhausted the benefits they were entitled to under Medicare.
Without a third party guarantor available to cover the bill, many hospitals write off the final illness as non-collectible. At MedClaims, we stand ready to pursue recovery against a patient's estate in order to compensate the hospital for the services it rendered. We are compassionate in our approach to handling estate claims and often assist family members by answering some of their questions about the estate administration process.
